Working Together to Invest in Black Creek Community
The Black Creek Microcredit Program is a Community Loan Fund that helps small and emerging businesses in the Black Creek Community meet their need for credit by securing loans of up to $5000. By granting small loans to local entrepreneurs, the Black Creek Microcredit Program is contributing to local economic development.
The Black Microcredit Program was established in 2007 and partners with ACCESS Community Capital Fund and Alterna Savings to support the entrepreneurial desires of our community members.
We were officially launched in February 2010. Please see video clips of the launch.
Get Involved: Support Local Community Development
The Black Creek Microcredit Program is volunteer-based. All of our members contribute to the running of the program through their donation of time, skills, expertise, goods/services and/or as investors and donors. We encourage local community involvement in the development of our program. You can volunteer on one of our committees, mentor a new entrepreneur, donate and/or invest in the Microcredit Program.
